1,000 Cranes for Peace — A community installation unveiling with Trillium Salon Series

A symbol of good luck & peace, legend has it that 1,000 origami cranes folded will usher in peace & good will.
The community has joined us by folding paper cranes for a prosperous new season! Origami has long been a meditative art. We wanted to give an opportunity to immerse — individually or together — in this act of mindfulness, culminating in a public art display.
In partnership with Trillium Salon Series, this origami art installation will be unveiled February 28 at a drop-in event.
Featuring live music by:

Plus door prizes from our partners at Shindig Paperie & Little Mountain Bindery! They've each donated beautiful paper for this project.
All month there will be a folding station in the Studios at Likewise, where you can create & leave your crane to be included in the installation. If you make yours at home, you can drop them by Likewise anytime before February 26, or mail to our address.
